From a lifelong passion for feline friends to the inception of Cats Manitoba, my journey has been driven by a deep-rooted love for cats. I grew up with cats on the farm, where they were not only cherished members of our family but vital contributors to our quality of life. I developed a profound connection with these graceful and enigmatic creatures. This bond only grew stronger over the years, leading me to dedicate my life to their welfare.

My experiences working with various rescue organizations, fostering cats in need, and actively participating in fundraising for cat groups have been both enriching and eye-opening. These endeavours have allowed me to contribute to the well-being of cats and highlighted the immense need for a dedicated advocacy group in Manitoba and Winnipeg.

In Winnipeg and Manitoba, there's a remarkable network of organizations and individuals committed to improving the lives of cats. With numerous groups, dedicated volunteers, and a significant number of cats in need, the collective effort is impressive. However, there is a distinct need for a dedicated voice that collectively represents the groups and the cats in need. Our goal is not to unify these groups under one umbrella but to serve as a strong, unified voice advocating for their diverse needs, enhancing visibility, and bolstering their individual and collective efforts for the betterment of cat welfare.

Our work is crucial.

Cats, often misunderstood and undervalued, are in dire need of advocates who can address their specific needs and challenges. By focusing on education, support for rescue organizations, and community engagement, we strive to create a world where cats are not only safe but also valued and understood.

I invite you to join us in this inspiring journey. Whether you're a fellow cat lover, someone interested in animal welfare, or simply someone who believes in making a positive impact, your support is vital. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless cats, ensuring they live the happy and healthy lives they deserve.
