The Cats Advocacy Team of Manitoba is headquartered in Winnipeg on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe (Ojibway), Ininew (Cree), Oji-Cree, Dene, and Dakota Nations, and the homeland of the Métis. We also wish to acknowledge all lands within Manitoba, including Treaties 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and the lands which adhere to Treaty 5, which have been and still are the homeland to many distinct First Nations, Inuit, and Metis communities. This acknowledgement is only a first step in respecting Indigenous communities and working towards reconciliation. We strive to have true partnerships with and learn from Indigenous communities to work together to support animal, human, and environmental health.
