2025 Film Lineup
The 2025 Winnipeg International Feline Film Festival is purring back—bigger, bolder, and more whisker-twitching than ever!
We’ve clawed through cat films from around the globe to bring you thirteen of the best short films about our favourite furry companions. This year's lineup is a feast of feline creativity: mind-bending animated shorts that will mess with your reality, heartwarming tales that celebrate the soul-deep bond between cats and their humans, and eye-opening documentaries that pull back the curtain on the struggles—and triumphs—of cat rescues around the world.
But wait, there's more. How about:
-
A live-action western starring real-life cat actors from a cat sanctuary in Arizona?
-
A comedy about a demanding diva-cat threatening divorce over delayed dinner?
-
A horror-comedy from Iceland featuring a giant volcanic cat who punishes bad gift-givers?
-
A heroic journey of one brave cat escaping war in Ukraine?
This is not your typical cat video night. This is an emotional roller coaster - one that’ll make you laugh, cry, and cheer.
This is a one-night-only event - so grab your tickets early, bring your fellow cat lovers, and join us for an unforgettable celebration of cats, cinema, and community. Every ticket supports our mission to help cats in need across Manitoba.
Content Note:
WIFFF celebrates cats through a wide range of storytelling. Our program includes a mix of genres; from fun, family-friendly adventures to artistic, experimental, and documentary films that highlight both the joy and the harsh realities of feline life.
While many films are suitable for all ages, some explore serious themes that may be unsettling for younger viewers or sensitive audience members. Please be advised that not all films are specifically curated for all-ages.
We encourage audiences to embrace the full experience, understanding that the festival showcases the many sides of the feline world, both the lighthearted and the heartfelt.
